Commercial Description:
Created by Rodney Kibzey, Illinois Rodney describes his wonderfully complex brew as "deep amber in color with a full creamy body and a dark fruit and clove aroma." This traditional Bavarian style brew took Rodney a few batches to perfect, but the taste is worth all of his hard work.

Poured from bottle 5/2008. Gettin good vibes from the aroma - roasted malt, vanilla, caramel. Muddy brown with thin tan head. Very smooth malt flavor, along with caramel, brown sugar, banana, vanilla. Alcohol in back that lingers nicely. Even better as it warms. Kind of a German/Belgian hybrid. Well done, Mr. Kibzey.

Wowie. This was a huge hit. Aroma is super malty with some nice toast to it. Flavor is like a toasted chocolate covered banana. I even got some ice cream to drizzle this over and it was just marvelous. My wife enjoyed it very much as well. Well done Rodney!

This dark brown beer poured with a thin off-white head that dissipated quickly. There is a sweet herbal aroma. The flavor is caramel malt and spicy with a strong clove finish.

Bottle. Hazy mahogony beer with a dark cream colored head. Big spicy clove aroma with wheat and caramel. Spice, caramel flavor with a bit of wheat. Medium bodied. Lingering caramel and spice.

Thought this one was really great. Dark and muddy, and has lots of banana in the taste profile. Lots of banana, and cloves and maybe some peppermint. Very elegant flavor profile. To those complaining about the alcohol: get over it, this is a weizenbock. I thought this was fantastic and that SA should take it into production.

It has a very dark amber, off white head that goes away within seconds. No real lacing. Its also cloudy. Very good for a homebrew so far. It has a very sweet, malty smell. Fruity also. Its very full bodied, sweet, malty, and a little alcohol kick at the end. It has a very subtle fuity note, like a hefewizen, and then finishes with a full, sweet and malty taste like a bock. A nice mixture of both types. Not bad for a homebrew.

12oz bottle. Aroma of mustard spice and some dried fruits and alcohol. Brown body with off white head that did manhole cover the body of liquid. Flavor was chalky spicey alcohol. Nothing to make me say ahh this is good. Sticky spicey palate. maybe a 3 was too good.

So, I poured this and took a sip. Then I asked The Bride to sample it. She said that it was really tasty. So then I asked her what she thought the ABV was. "I dunno", she said "around 10%, I suppose". Therein lies the only real problem I had with this beer. It is indeed tasty, with really nice fruity, spicy notes - a lot of banana, clove, whiskey, bubblegum, dark bread flavors. But man, did it seem alcoholly. Or maybe I’m just overly sensitive, like some sort of big baby. I wonder if this would age well?
