Commercial Description:
Created by Rodney Kibzey, Illinois Rodney describes his wonderfully complex brew as "deep amber in color with a full creamy body and a dark fruit and clove aroma." This traditional Bavarian style brew took Rodney a few batches to perfect, but the taste is worth all of his hard work.

(bottle): Pours a dark brown body, murky. Smallish but lasting gray head. Flowea grapey aroma. Okay body, flowery taste, too much fruit body. A little heavy without the flavor.

Very hazy dark red-brown, quarter-inch tan small bubble head fades quickly to a scum cap quickly. Classic dark weizenbock aroma: clove, dark pit fruits in prunes and plums, banana esters, subtle notes of pine. Slightly astringent on the tongue, good spice presence in clove and coriander, banana, cherry, slight dry alcohol tinge in the finish. Bit sour at the back of the palate, dusty stale hop note as well. Fine but weak carbonation, very creamy.

Bottle from Sam’s Quik Stop in Durham. Dark brown color with a thick, creamy head. Good lacing. Spicy apple, pear, banana aroma. Taste is similar, but a little lighter on fruit and heavier on grainy malty tastes. Full bodied and effervescent. Alcohol could be hidden better.

Opaque even brown with huge dimpled tan head. Aroma is a bit spicy with cola notes. Clove and banana in the taste with raisiny character and medium-high residual sweetness. Fantastic, especially when compared to the other longshot brew in the box.

Bottle. Aroma a big rush of wheat, clove, and grain. Dark red fruit. Deep, dark brown-amber with a dense, thick, full, lacing, tiny-bubbled, creamy, rocky, superb head! Taste much the same, though more restrained, semi-dry with a light grainy finish and a splash of yeast. Brown sugar, and alcohol that’s too high in the mix. Lovely bit of marshmallow. Lightly crisp. Medium-light body and not as muddled as most in style; seems like SA was able to filter a bit of the confusion out. A good one, better than many I had in Germany, and something I’d like to see go into continued production.

12oz bottle. Pours dark brown in color with foamy tan head. Aroma fruity and yeasty. Taste of roasted malt, yeast and fruity with dry finish. Alcohol warming taste stands out.
