Commercial Description:
Created by Rodney Kibzey, Illinois Rodney describes his wonderfully complex brew as "deep amber in color with a full creamy body and a dark fruit and clove aroma." This traditional Bavarian style brew took Rodney a few batches to perfect, but the taste is worth all of his hard work.

Pours a hazy dark amber with rich, creamy white head. Smells very much like bread or cereal, with some clove and banana notes, but also a strong hint of sewage. Very rich and creamy taste, with many flavors being revealed with each sip. Cinnamon, clove, pepper, bananas, and cherries with malty sweet, slightly acidic finish. Not a bad weizenbock at all.

This is an exciting beer for me since this guy is from my hometown of Lombard, IL! - a beer non-entity (until recently when a Rock Bottom (Yorktown) opened up. So its with pride and excitement that I celebrate one of the Lilac Village’s own making the big time with this brew. Nice looking cloudy brown with a medium head. Aroma is big, sweet, and inviting - lots of banana, clove, and rich wheat. Flavor is a bit sweet, a bit spicy - cloves and banana/dark fruit dominate. I’m also getting alot of real wheat here. Not my favorite W-bock, but a solid take on the style that I should grab more of before its gone.

beautiful look! the deep amber color has a cloudy haze but what really stands out is the thick creamy dense dusty tan head that easily stands over the rim of the glass with pride and authority. great classic german clove aroma but not overly spiced. heavy in flavor, but not heavy in body. tasty beer, some holiday banana bread flavor, but none of the additional flavors are in excess. the roasted wheat stands out and shines with always the full bodied yeast throughout.

Cloudy dark brownish color, tinge of orange. Decent bubbly tan head that laces well. Big sweet artificial banana jumps out, some allspice and bit of alcohol. Wheaty banana, raisin, allspice, clove and way too much alcohol detectable. Soft, fine carbonation gives a nice smooth mouthfeel. This isn’t a bad beer, but I’ve had a lot better Weizenbocks than this, way too alcoholy.

Bottle. Pours brown with a huge tan head. Leaves slight lacing on the glass. Aroma of wheat, bubblegum. Taste of more wheat, bubblegum, spices, molasses, and honey (very faint). I got a slight alcohol burn in the finish...A complex brew! Very refreshing too.

12 oz bottle pours hazy brown with a huge, thick off white head. Aroma of spices, clove, and banana. Flavor is of clove and banana with a slight wheat bitterness at the finish. Not my favorite style, but this seems to be pretty good

Pours a five+ finger cream head that fades slowly to a thin layer leaving a good lace. Cloudy amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Spicy wheat nose. Flavor is sweet wheat, cloves and spice, clean finish. $1.50 12oz bottle from Capitol Convenience Concord, NH.

Bottle at Extreme Beerfest 2008 (Crescent Moon): Big aroma...ripe bananas and clove. Big malted wheat flavor with a Bock body. Muddy appearance.
