Commercial Description:
Created by Rodney Kibzey, Illinois Rodney describes his wonderfully complex brew as "deep amber in color with a full creamy body and a dark fruit and clove aroma." This traditional Bavarian style brew took Rodney a few batches to perfect, but the taste is worth all of his hard work.

I didn’t have high expectations going into this beer, but it was actually surprisingly good. Pours cloudy dark brown with a thin off white head. Aroma of bananas and clove. The flavor is very sweet caramel malt and some sugar. The banana and cloves stands out nicely. Very rich, creamy mouthfeel. Well done though, congrats to Rodney for winning.

Bottle: The aroma consists of banana, cloves, bubblegum, and brown sugar. It pours a murky brown with some orange tint around the edges of the glass. It has a moderate off-white head that lasts a minute or so before fading to a film and leaves thin spotty lacing behind. The flavor starts has a strong caramel backbone with some light banana up front. It finishes with some light bubble gum, tangy wheat notes, nuts, and clove. Bubblegum and clove are left in the aftertaste. Medium bodied with a creamy mouth feel and soft carbonation.

Pours a murky brown with some fizz. Rich caramel, banana, and clove aroma. Really nice tootsie-roll like chocolate, with a hint of banana and clove. Delicious.

Bottled. Poured a cool shde of murky deeper brown with a thick, well-retained cap of beige head. The aroma was complex and intriguing.. deep chocolate and banana notes, cloves, and a bit of bubblegum.. smelled creamy and decadent. "Creamy" and "decadent" describe the flavor and palate as well.. warm, spiked sweeter chocolates and bananas at the core paired with caramel (especially as it warmed) and dark spices (clove and nutmeg jumped out at me).. spicy, warm finish left an enjoyable impression. Heavier-bodied on the palate with just enough carbonation to move it along nicely.. well-balanced. Great beer!

Pours very murky dark brown with a large light tan head. The aroma has candied bananas, rich wheat malt, cream, cloves and other spices. Medium / thick rich body with semi-soft carbonation. The flavor begins with medicinal taste that is a bit thin, some bananas and a bit of sweetness - not nearly as rich and inviting as the aroma. The finish has come clove and heavier on the richness than the initial taste. Okay for the style.

Bottle - Pours a nice sugary clouded brown, with only a slight head that clings to the glass. Sugary sweet flavor with an interesting aftertaste, based on the description I assume it’s clove and other spices. Very good complex flavor.

12oz bottle. Poured a medium to deeper and cloudy brownish color with a huge sized off white head. Aromas of bananas, cloves, wheaty, and I was getting some smoked meat in the background (took me a while to place it). Tastes of bananas, citrus, lighter spices, and some dark fruits.

Sweet brown sugar, honey scent. Dirty brown honey color, cloudy and hazy. Offwhite head. Tastes like a mapely brown sugar, touches of honey, banana, citrusy malts, and a tiny hint of alcohol. A very nice, maybe great example of how i expect a Weizen-Bock beer to be. This and Aventinus are now my 2 favorites and standards in this catagoire. Deserves to be a permanent beer maybe in the Brewmasters collection, recommended, great beer!
