beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA Mar 17, 2008 Pours cloudy mahogany with a soft white head. Big banana estery nose, cloves and figs kinda jumped into my head. Smooth and rich on the palate, wheat body gives that soft and smooth feeling to this on the palate. waolsen (1220), Littleton, Colorado, USA Mar 17, 2008 one of the coolest thing any brewer does is this competition. It has taken position as one of my favorite beers. demitriustown (689), Shelby Township, Michigan, USA Mar 16, 2008 12 oz bottle: Caramel, wheat , yeast, banana are all in the aroma. Pours a muddy murky brown with a medium sized tan head that lingers. Taste is quite nice with the banana prevalent, wheat, clove, and dark fruit are all inside of this one. Aftertaste is surprisingly creamy for a Weizenbock. Overall, pretty darn good wheat bock in my honest opinion. Cheers! Jvittorio4187 (255), Boardman, Ohio, USA Mar 16, 2008 Pours a hazy brown with a thick white head. Lots of banana on the nose. Taste is strong with clove, wheat, banana and othe fuit. Kinz (2179), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA Mar 15, 2008 I’m currently using the LongShot series as an attempt to inspire me as I go through the tedious task of bottling the first batch of homebrew I’ve made in a few years. This beer was actually pretty successful at being inspiring. Poured a murky brown, decent head. Huge aroma of banana and clove, along with some dark fruits and a hint of vanilla. Flavor was vanilla, followed by banana, loads of dark fruit from lush malts, and a clove finish with a kiss of citric tang. Really quite excellent, I thoroughly enjoyed this. Well done, Mr. Kibzey.
