Bottle.
Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing.
Body is cloudy dark brown, bottle conditioned.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, popcorn, cookie), with notes of banana/gum, clove, butter, hint of cinnamon.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly husky.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
Fairly drinkable for something out of the BBC factory, but nothing special. Buttery caramel corn and bananas for the nose, very watery palate, on the sweet side, a little rough. Can do in a pinch, but it’s mostly average for the style.

Oct 8, 2008 Surprisingly delicious... wasn’t expecting much from the longshot series after trying the grape pale ale, but i def enjoyed this bock... hint ofclove, banana, maybe peach... i wish i could get a case of just this and not the other longshots...

Oct 7, 2008 12 oz bottle in LongShot mixpack. Pours a hazy red-orange brown with ample off-white crown that has moderate retention and somewhat fingery lacing. Aroma is full of spices, cloves and cinnamon, with heavy malt character and caramel and toffee sweetness. There is also a good bit of biscuit with some kind of phenol in the nose. Unusual to say the least. Flavour is intensely malty from the beginning with almost no hop bitterness throughout. There is also some kind of phenol and ester that lingers on the palate after the taste that makes this a bit unusual with the wheat malt aftertaste. Mediium-bodied, this beer finishes a bit cleanly with some discernible EtOH burn as the beer warms. Great beer if you like this style, but not my cup of tea.

Sep 28, 2008 Bottle. Sweet peach/banana, clove and wheat malt with just a hint of alcohol. Cloudy orange-brown color with small head. Sweet ripe banana/peach, clove, and wheat malt flavor. Light alcohol aftertaste. A spectacular beer - they really need to make this a regular beer. I just automatically expect that US Weizens won’t match German ones but this is one that not only stands up to the style but exceeds my expectations. Thank God I found this beer.

Sep 25, 2008 This beer pours anice dark brown with a good tan head, I really like the way the yeast provides the appropriate clove flavor that is definitive of the style. Good Malt bill nice hopping Excellent beer for autumn and the Hollidays.

Aug 23, 2008 Poured a cloudy brown. Definitely smell of clove. Was pretty good, until a fly landed in it. Thankfully was almost done so he didn’t get much of it.
