argo0 (6861), Washington DC, USA Apr 29, 2008 (12oz bottle, best by 7/08) Small, quickly dissipating off-white head atop murky dark brown body. Aroma is moderately sweet, clove, banana, caramel, some bubblegum. Taste is moderately sweet, clove, some bubblegum, banana, caramel, raisin. Medium body, some creaminess. harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Dec 27, 2008 355ml bottle from a trade with a non RBer. Very deep russet with thin beige head. Quite a sweet nicely bocky weizen. Does everything you would expect but more with an American character than German. Nice sweetish darkish malts. Quite pleasant. Drank on Xmas Eve in the kitchen chatting. Took about an hour to finish it. hopdog (5527), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 20, 2008 12oz bottle. Poured a medium to deeper and cloudy brownish color with a huge sized off white head. Aromas of bananas, cloves, wheaty, and I was getting some smoked meat in the background (took me a while to place it). Tastes of bananas, citrus, lighter spices, and some dark fruits. hopscotch (5440), Vero Beach, Florida, USA May 28, 2008 Bottle... Murky, mahogany brew with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. Chocolate, overripe banana, clove and Bazooka bubblegum meld to form a spicy, fruity aroma. Full-bodied and creamy with feather-soft carbonation. Sweet, chocolaty and spicy with dark fruits. Mild bitterness... just enough to keep things from cloying up. Finishes like a sweet, ripe banana dipped in chocolate with a mineral undertone. Many thanks to headbanger for sliding this bottle my way! bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA Mar 2, 2008 (Bottle) Pours a murky brown body with a small beige head. Aroma of rye, clove, banana, and caramel. Flavor of rye, smoke, tobacco, toffee, banana, and clove. CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA May 10, 2008 Pours a transparent dark bronze copper with a lightly-lacing light tan head. Aroma of sweet dark caramel and malted wheat with an authentic estery clove and banana character with German yeastiness. Starts fairly full with the right amount of carbonation and malty sweetness with some peppery clove spice and bready yeasty flavor before the slightly drier, crisp finish. Very true to style and enjoyable. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Apr 13, 2008 12oz bottle-pours a big retaining light tan head with cloudy brown/orange color.
