So, I poured this and took a sip. Then I asked The Bride to sample it. She said that it was really tasty. So then I asked her what she thought the ABV was. "I dunno", she said "around 10%, I suppose". Therein lies the only real problem I had with this beer. It is indeed tasty, with really nice fruity, spicy notes - a lot of banana, clove, whiskey, bubblegum, dark bread flavors. But man, did it seem alcoholly. Or maybe I’m just overly sensitive, like some sort of big baby. I wonder if this would age well?

Jul 15, 2008 Well done, has got a real clove taste and smell that reminds of Autumn ham, the malts are nice and plentiful with the a strong hop body.

Jul 10, 2008 The aroma is very good and quite sweet. The aroma has juicy fruit bubble gun, banana, candy sugar, and dark malt. The appearance is deep red with an impressive head. The flavor is like the aroma with cloves. The palate is smooth. Overall a good beer.

Jul 8, 2008 Hazy brown pour, thin fizzy head. Sweet malty nose. SOft clean mouth-feel, malty flavor. For me it was a little too much clove

Jul 7, 2008 Pours deep, dark red-brown out of bottle. Not a ton of head or carbonated fizziness. Creamy, soft mouthfeel with fruit + spice in the wheat brew as advertised. Great aroma.
This should be adopted into normal production by Sam. Great recipe.
