"100 years of brewing artistry"? It’s a shame they learned so little in all that time. This was a gift from someone who knew I drank beers from all over the world. How does one say "thank you" to a gift of foreign piss-water? We brew enough of that here! But, it was the thought that counts. And at least I didn’t spend anything to sample this swill beverage.

Bottle from Party Source. Poured hazy pale color with an average frothy white head that diminished quickly with fair lacing. Moderate sweet grainy aroma. Light to medium body with a thin texture and soft carbonation. Light sweet flavor with soft bitter short finish. Worth trying once.

Bottled. A sulphorous farty nose to this light golden coloured lager. The taste starts off clean, dry, crisp and reasonable, but develops into a bit of a smoky eggy mess. It is quite interesting and has some character even if that is not always pleasant.

This brew poured a small head of quickly disappearing white colored bubbles that left behind apoor lacing and a weak looking straw yello colored body with all kinds of apparent "Stuff" floating it it. It does not look apetizing. The aroma is just as bad. Perhaps the package deal is getting to me before I even tatse it. It smells repulsive. The mouthfeel is not much better. It has a skunky feel to it and I find myself not looking forward to the next taste. The flavor is not as bad as the rest of it, but still it is not smooth and I think I am severly biased against it. This one is a drain poor and I am not going to bother with the rest of it. Yuck!

Bottle, probably from late 2003 or 2004 (not a huge turnover for stuff like this). Light corn and nuttiness in the nose, with some minerals and a bit of light chalk. Simple, pale-yellow appearance with a small ring of foamy, white head. I’m not seeing the roasted barley, though there is some saltiness and something bolstering the mostly light body. Seems like a below-average pale lager to me. Though it certainly wasnt a drain pour, IMHO. Wasn’t skunked and didnt have much staleness to it. A bit of metal on the end. I’ll stick to Modelo Especial for now, though I’ve got a large amount of tropical lagers to get through at my local store so the hunt is still on for a great pale lager!

12 oz bottle. Cloudy yellow with a small off white head. Aroma is grains and corn. Taste is boring and bland, sour, malty and doughy.

An absolutely horrible beer to say the least. I am glad I have this one out of the way! The only way I can describe the nose is that it is somewhat skunky and a little bit sweet. The body had a lot of "stuff" floating around in it and I was going to finish this beer, but the more I look at this "stuff" floating around I have decided that no way am I going to drink anymore. It poured a very small sized white head with fine-medium sized bubbles. The body was carbonated along with a lot of "stuff" floating in it, the body was cloudy and the hue was pale yellow. The flavor was somewhat sweet with a thin, watery, a little bit smooth mouthfeel with a light body. There was no lacing with this beer and at this point who really cares as this beer is soooooooo bad.

Leon Pub, Tallahassee, Fl - 12 oz bottle. Looks like a urine specimen - cloudy and pale - little to no head. Aroma - a bit of wet cardboard and rancid grain. Flavor does not have much to offer - a faint wisp of sweet honey in the back end is about the only thing outside of the cheap corny lager taste. Very thin mouthfeel. Typical tropical lager.
