Pours a one-finger white head leaving a good lace. Pale yellow, slightly cloudy color. Nose is slightly hoppy, no skunkiness. Light bodied, this is a summer lager. High carbonation, starts with a balance of hops and malt and finishes crisp with no aftertaste. Very good lawn mower beer. $1.60 for a 12 oz bottle. The ABV is 4.0%.

Sambadoro has been layen around awhile before I opened it. Let’s take a trip to Uberlandia, Brazil. 12oz twist off brown bottle. Bottle has a busty Aztec on the front with a blue busten-halter. I think her name is Paulista! Big feather hat and don’t think she has hair. Smell’s a little strong and sweet, I get the impression this is high alky content. I’m not sure if the aroma is wheat like or metallic. The look of this beer is interesting. When you pour it, there is no head or foam on top. There is a see thru mini skirt around the inside edge of the glass formed by a few bubbles. The look of this beer is hazy light beige yellow. Almost like a wheat beer but I don’t see any sign of sludge on the bottom of the bottle. After I taste this, I notice the initial flavor caused me to think bitter and coarse. But that initial shock is buffered by a slide to gracefulness. I was pleasantly surprised to find this pretty smooth. Taste comes on medium strong then fades to a gentle petting of the taste buds. Has a nice feel with the carbonation, medium low but not flat. Citrusy hints of lemons. No bitterness, or barely any perceivable, on the finish. Slight white pepper gracefulness. It is gentle and friendly. Repeatable and enjoyable. One of my better tasting pale yellow lagers.

The guy in the liquor store told me, ’oh, that’s a good Brazilian.’ I wanted to ask him what bad Brazilian was. Very light appearance, watery thin palate, with not much distinguishing flavor except for some malt and corn flavors. I suppose its refreshing, similar to all Mexican beers.

Mine came in a brown bottle and the aroma was terrible, so I assume it wasn’t skunking, but was rather the horrible stench of adjuncts. Fully carbonated, this brew features a label with a large-breasted woman celebrating Brazil’s annual Carnival. The rest of this brew was all downhill. A crisp brew.

No head at all and a cloudy yellow haze colour. Vastly better to other cheap Sth American beers I’ve tried recently. A little bit of citrus on an otherwise corn fired cheap beer.

Bottle, probably from late 2003 or 2004 (not a huge turnover for stuff like this). Light corn and nuttiness in the nose, with some minerals and a bit of light chalk. Simple, pale-yellow appearance with a small ring of foamy, white head. I’m not seeing the roasted barley, though there is some saltiness and something bolstering the mostly light body. Seems like a below-average pale lager to me. Though it certainly wasnt a drain pour, IMHO. Wasn’t skunked and didnt have much staleness to it. A bit of metal on the end. I’ll stick to Modelo Especial for now, though I’ve got a large amount of tropical lagers to get through at my local store so the hunt is still on for a great pale lager!

Very pale yellow body topped by a medium thick white head with some lace. Weak slightly sweet malty aroma with a touch of sourness and grainy notes. Malty flavor with a slight sweetness and sourness with a sour finish. Light bodied, smooth and dry.

it lay in a cornbread colored mass of transparent glassiness..yellower than a traffic light, yellower than my teeth...the head...although solid, was white and smelled like dirty socks, soggy cereal, sweaty underwear, cow troughs, morning after pukey sheets, and wheat bread...flavor of blanched corn flakes and spurts of lemon juice...yet surprisingly clean with subtle graininess...a score of 1.44 is retarded when Miller lite has a 1.48..this is at least .o6 or.o7 better than that...well, better than what i found it to be.
