Ungstrup (11075), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 23, 2007 Bottled. An unclear orange beer with a disappearing beige head. The aroma is of burnt plastic and malt. The flavor is sweet malty, but also with notes of burnt malt, leading to a dry bitter end. Something went wrong during the brewproces. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 18, 2007 (Bottle 50 cl) Very unclear amber golden with an off-white head. Weird, chemical aroma. Light body with boring, malty accents and synthetic, chemical flavours. A disgrace as a beer, and a disgrace to call it an Alt. 080107 Thomas_E (4814), Copenhagen, Denmark Jan 12, 2007 Cloudy golden colour with a small off white head. Aroma of burnt plastic with notes of some boring malty sweetness. Flavor has a strange and very off chemical sting. Pretty bad "altbier". faroeviking (4134), Faroese Beer Republic über, Denmark Jan 10, 2007 Hazy amber colour. Sour and yeasty aroma. Flavour is yeasty and sour, nasty aftertaste. Far far far from a real Altbier. madsberg (4365), Bangalore, India Jan 10, 2007 Updated: Jan 24, 2007Bottled. This was the last beer of the evening for me, and boy was it dissapointing. I was starting to get some confidence in the brewery, but I don’t know what Samsø does to totally fuck up some of their batches. First this has none whatsoever resemblance with an Altbier. What is it then. Mud?. Dishwater? Detergent?. Well it has it all. Reminds me a lot of the totally gone bad Kølner from same brewery. Btw. the beer is golden coloured, hazy and has a small light brown head. Yikes!!!
