Samsø December Bryg nr. 2

Bottle. Golden orange colour with a beige head. Aroma is fruit, yeast, sour, citrus. Flavour is fruit, malt, hop, apple, citrus, orange, sour. A little bit too sour for my taste.

Bottle. Pours a golden body with some floaties and a little hazyness. Small, dense, beige head. The aroma has the usual Samsø sourness, but it also has a sugary sweetness, fruits and a touch of alcohol. Quite pleasant for a Samsø, at least if imagined without the sourness. Quite astringent in the mouth, with a lot of sugary sweetness and a fruityness. Alcohol too. Medium full body. Long sourish finish with a supporting sweetness and warming alcohol. Could probably be interesting without the sourness, which I assume is from infection, not fruits. Or maybe it’s too sweetish, guess I’ll never know. (080102)

Hazy brown of color with a fast diminishing off white head. An aroma with notes of sweets, spice and notes of orange. A flavor of sweet malt, spice and orange, notes of bitterness in the finish.

Bottle at home. Hazy amber with a beige head, quickly gone. Aroma moderate malty (caramel, spices, orange, notes of phenol?), light hoppy. Flavor moderate sweet, light bitter. Medium body, strong in alcohol, soft carbonated.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a big, but quickly diminishing off-white head. Sweetish, hoppy aroma on a malty background with slight citrus notes. As it warms, spicy notes appear and it becomes more fruity. Sweetish flavour. Spicy. Hops. Fruity and yeast notes appear as it warms. A bit cloying. 17-06-07.
