Eyedrinkale (3102), Beer Town, New York, USA May 4, 2008 Bottl, poured into a Hofbrau stein. Light gold with a small head. Aroma is nice and Caech hoppy. Flavor is light and malty with a nice balance. Good breadiness and a clean finish.
estoppel (1014), Buffalo, New York, USA Aug 10, 2008 Bottle. Saaz nose, golden body, not much head. A iittle light on carbonation, but has the typical BoPils character. Too much astringency in the finish. omhper (10393), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 26, 2008 Bottled. Clear pale golden, small but firmhead. There’s somepaper and hay. Light-medium bodied with streamlined simple malt character and growing late bitterness. Drinkable but lacking in character. harrisoni (5109), Ashford, Kent, England Jul 14, 2008 500ml bottle from Tesco, Plzen. Clear gold, thin white head. Some cardboard on aroma. Cardboard throughout. Some lemon, very watery and frankly poor. Maybe diacetyl too. Dedollewaitor (1906), Odense, Denmark Jul 8, 2008 50cl bottle. Pours dark golden with a creamy egg white head & lacings. Aroma is bitter of grass & corn. Bitter, dry & crisp taste. Hints of bread & buiscuit! Enjoyable! PilsnerPeter (1376), Flushing, New York, USA Jun 27, 2008 Bottle: Crisp golden pour, perfect clarity and a thin white head. Aroma is grassy, subdued saaz notes and an earthy, biscuity pilsner malt back. Fluffy light body. Flavor has some bread crust malt with toasted character, almost smoky? But just a touch when it warms. That was interesting. The bitterness in the finish is pleasant, mild, however, with a restrained peppery saaz character. This is a very solid Bohemian Pilsner that is underrated, IMO.
