[BCTC 08] Poured a murky amber color with a medium sized, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, light banana, some clove, nuts, and citrus fruits. Taste of caramel malts, nutmeg, black cherry, some banana, nuts, and faint clove, with just a bit of alcohol in the finish. Liked it a bit more than the others, but I did have higher hopes after reading the previous reviews.

Drainpour #2 at BCTC, and a sad one at that as I was really looking forward to this. They really must have blown this batch. Aroma is big apple juice with a touch of wheat. The sweetness kind of reminds me of Stille Nacht, but unlike that beer it has no complexity and no polish. Weak, kind of chewy, cheesy, wine grape flavor, very cloying. Blech.

Draft @ BCTC. Pours a bright, hazy, golden-orange-amber color; creamy off-white head with excellent fine-bubbled lacing and retention. Lots of candy sugar, passion fruit, and sweetness in the aroma; singular. Medium mouthfeel: sweet candy sugar, apples, and basic sweet maltiness; bland, one-dimensional, and too sweet. Very disappointing. Medium finish: candy sugar, candy; again, lots of lasting sweetness throughout.

8th Big Beers, Belgians, and Barleywines. Pours hazy orange with an average, frothy, off-white head, lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (grain, hay, straw), average hops (herbs, grass), average yeast (barnyard, earth) with notes of banana, apple, and pear. Full bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness and bitterness, moderate acidity.

On Draft at the brewery with the Mad_Indian. Thanks to our tour Guide Andy who really hooked us up. Pours cloudy golden with a large white head. Aroma of bananas, spices, cloves, and alcohol. The flavor is smooth, banana, spices, cloves, with a nice lighlty bitter alcohol kick. excellent.

Sampled with Stegosaurus at Sam Adams. Andy our tour guide was kind enough to give us a sneak when we told him we were from rate beer. He said this is only used for shows and beer fests and unfortanelty will not be bottled. What A shame as it is incredible. Cloudy pour with medium head. Banna, wheat and spice aroma. Good wheat and yeast taste. Smooth finish. Really great.
