Appearance: Pours a dark amber with a decent fluffy off-white head. The body is somewhat clear.
Aroma: Sweet, spicy malt, grape fruit essence and rock candy.
Taste: A mouthful of caramel or toffee like malt almost perfectly balanced with citrusy and bitter hops. I’d say the malt slightly outweighs the hop profile.
Mouthfeel: Thick and heavy.
Overall: A pretty enjoyable beer that reminds me of a west coast red ale. TomDecapolis (3167), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a golden amber with a small, off white head that left lacing on the glass. Aroma of lightly floral hops, citrus, a heavy does of caramel malt and some pineny notes. Taste was kind of up front caramel malts along with some pine and mixed citrus notes from the hops. I think this one was actually a Pale Ale. hopdog (5561), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 14, 2009 Sampled and evaluated during the Autumn Brew Review 2009 in Minneapolis, MN. From a test B 12-oz bottle. pours a clear copper amber colored brew with an average sized off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thing ring. Aroma of light caramel malt, citrus, a hint of grassy hops and some honey. Taste is light to medium bodied, with flavors of light caramel malt, some citrus and a touch of toffee. Finish has a short lived mild bitterness that is very tame for an IPA. Maybe an American Pale Ale, but not an IPA. jbye4334 (658), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
