Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams American Kriek: The intense black cherry character in this beer comes from Balaton cherries, which were discovered in Hungary and are now grown in Michigan. These special cherries are prized for their depth of flavor. The tartness from the cherries is balanced by a rich, malty character with toasted oak notes added from the barrel aging.

Can only be purchased at the Sam Adams Brewery. Very rich in cherry flavor yet not too sweet. A smooth, medium body with a very tart aftertaste.

Sampled during over night trip to Mass. Thin pour with a brown/bronze appearence. Off white head and big aroma of Black Cherry. A tart finish but not over bearing and as always the barrel adds to the taste.
