Commercial Description:
This traditional lager is medium in body with a deep roasted character. Its dark color and rich malty flavor come from specially roasted caramel and chocolate malts. This brew is lightly hopped with Noble Bavarian hops for a soft spiciness and a smooth clean finish. Cheers!

12 ounce bottle pours dark brown with a bit of tan head. Nose is roast and chocolate with some light noble hop character. The flavor has some roast and its a bit bitter, but over all pretty bland.

Poured black with a nice small lacing tan head. Fine roasted malt and coffee aroma. Fine mouthfeel with a medium body, sweet caramel malt and some roasted taste, coffee and chocolate. Fine lager beer with relationship of the stout-style...

Attractive dark brown pour floating a brown head of moderate proportions and duration. the aroma is deeply roasted grain, chocolate and burnt sugar. The flavors are very darkly roasted grain, roasted caramle, chocolate. coffee, and touches of smoke and nuts. The mouthfeel is light and refreshing despite the extreme roasted flavor profile. Very well made all around. Thanks to dm9831 for the bottle.

~Pours a blackish brrown with brown head. ~Roasted malt scent with sweet chocolate and caramel. ~Light caramel and coffee taste. A bit sugary but still pleasant. ~Light feel, quick clean sweet finish. ~Im impressed with this beer. Good flavor and very enjoyable. Good introduction brew for dark beers. I think I will have some of my non dark beer loving friends try this one.

Old rating: Quite decent schwarzbier with a good malty taste with some hints of chocolate and a decent bitterness. On the negative side it’s a bit thin. Worth the money though.
