Aroma is of slight malts. Taste is malty, but a little thin, with some caramel notes coming through. Ends a little hoppy. A great beer if you want something really light. Labarde (22), Australia

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | May 12, 2008 This moderately malted beer, pours a deep dark brown colour with a large tan head. A little grainy at first, and develops into a metallicy taste. Pleasent at times, its creamy, light chocolatey flavors are probably the highlight of this beer. It leaves a weak bitter taste on the end of my tounge. I got it in a mix pack, and will probably stay away from this in the future. tarjei (1753), Bryne, Norway

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 9, 2008 Updated: May 30, 2008Pours a deep brown color with a creamy light-tan head. Plethora of roasted malts on the nose with notes of yeasty bread dough, caramel, burnt coffee, and molases. Surprisingly medium-bodied, but plently of satisfying mouthfeel. The roasted chocolate and caramel malt expresses itself well with appetizing suggestions of pumpernickle bread, burnt brown sugar, and roasted nuts. Smooth, tapered finish with hints of bitter chocolate. Well balanced and appetizing. Try with Tiramisu, or a rich chocolate desert.
