Commercial Description:
This traditional lager is medium in body with a deep roasted character. Its dark color and rich malty flavor come from specially roasted caramel and chocolate malts. This brew is lightly hopped with Noble Bavarian hops for a soft spiciness and a smooth clean finish. Cheers!

Pretty solid beer. Slight roastedness. Chocolate. Sweet caramel. Bitter finish. Pretty weak palate/mouthfeel. On the thin side. Overall, pretty drinkable.

12 oz bottle, pours a black color with a minimal brown head. Aroma is of coffee and kind of sweet. Appears very appetizing. I didn’t really gather much taste from this beer aside from a roasted sweetness, however, and the palate was average. Nice full body and would be great to accompany a meal but not so much a bar drink.

Dark black pour, medium body, nice. large tan head, lasting. Dark fruit flavor, along with caramel and roasted malt. A delicious brew along with a steak, especially. Moderate lacing on the glass. Slightly creamy, delicios. Wow. Best Schwartz I’ve had, and I’ve had some.

Bottle. Nice dark color, with a roasted aroma. Taste was roasted, but not heavy. Worth drinking.

For being a black lager, I expected something very heavy with a bit of an after bite but suprisingly this is very smooth with no after taste. Not much of a head. Two thumbs up for this one

Bottle. Pours very dark brown to black. Weird aroma that smells predominantly like fried rice. Smooth roasty taste balanced with caramel. Nice beer.

Decent roasted aroma. The roast flavor is a little more mild than the nose would indicate. Body is a bit thinner than I had hoped. Decent Sam Adams release but with room for tweaking.
