Commercial Description:
This traditional lager is medium in body with a deep roasted character. Its dark color and rich malty flavor come from specially roasted caramel and chocolate malts. This brew is lightly hopped with Noble Bavarian hops for a soft spiciness and a smooth clean finish. Cheers!

Pour looks black until you hold it up to the light. It’s actually very dark brown.

Sampled @ Hallandale beer fest (bottle). Pours coke-colored dark brown. Good no-nonsense malt flavors and mild aromas. Light touch of chocolate and some sweetness in the middle but finishes really clean. Husky, roasty, mild, thin body. Overall a nice dark lager.

Descent beer, tastes like it should be heavier, but it isn’t. You can drink a few of these and not be overly full. I enjoy a couple of these inbetween some heavier beers. The color is georgeous and the palate is perect. I went through a 2 week phase in 2006 when i couldn’t get enough of this stuff.

Pours night black with small beige head. not much of an aroma. Tastes very roasted with burnt chocolate. Pretty watery. Not that much flavor, but a pretty descent beer.

This is a bit blah, a bit bland as somewhat expected from such a large brewer. There are slight notes of flavor here and there but generally unsubstantial.
