| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 31, 2008 12 oz bottle - Pours clear, fairly deep brown color with tiny, almost non existant head. Aroma is nutty, with caramel, notes of coffee and cherry. Flavor is slightly roasty, bit of coffee and dark chocolate, subtle notes of chewy malts, with a mildly sweet finish. Fairly good overall. rman18 (201), South Amboy, New Jersey, USA

This is good only if you can get it as fresh as possible... I’m not a huge fan of the caramal flavored beers. rustbucket0873 (146), Krikville, New York, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jan 29, 2008 Pours dark cola brown and is quite transparent at the edges when backlit. A small, fizzy, light tan head dissipates quickly, leaving not much behind on the surface. Random flares and spots of lacing dot the glass. The aroma shows burnt caramel, artificial chocolate, and simple syrup sweetness. The scent profile is pretty bland, and not very inviting. Unfortunately, the flavor is just as lackluster. Sweet, dark caramel meets sugary chocolate and not much else. It’s sweet for a Schwarz, with very little hop or roast bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium-light, finishing clean but slightly sticky. Drinkable, but far from great. Duff53 (22), USA
