Commercial Description:
This traditional lager is medium in body with a deep roasted character. Its dark color and rich malty flavor come from specially roasted caramel and chocolate malts. This brew is lightly hopped with Noble Bavarian hops for a soft spiciness and a smooth clean finish. Cheers!

Bottle 355ml. Brown black body with a tan and light head. A very different Schwarzbier.

12 oz bottle. Pours black with a large light tan long lasting head. Tastes of espresso, chocolate and licorice with a nice roasted flavor. This is a excellent beer in my opinion. It’s easy drinking and quite satisfying.

A chocolate aroma. Almost black in color. the taste is the same, some hints of chocolate. The finish has some coffee/chocolate over it.

A surprisingly refreshing beer for the summer time. The aroma is milk and chocolate. A pleasant flavor with a sweet after taste.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Pour produced a chestnut brown body, very dark with hints of red, topped by a slowly rising head of rocky, off-white foam, which lingered for quite a while. Aroma was quite subdued, with faint hints of chocolate. Body is full, creamy, with a slight sweetness. Palate is woody, with nut and berry notes, finishing of with a full-flavored coffee/chocolate roast on the sides of the tongue. When I saw this become available in the Brewmasters Collection, I wanted to give this a go. I am happy to say that I wasn’t disappointed.
