Commercial Description:
This traditional lager is medium in body with a deep roasted character. Its dark color and rich malty flavor come from specially roasted caramel and chocolate malts. This brew is lightly hopped with Noble Bavarian hops for a soft spiciness and a smooth clean finish. Cheers!

Bottle, 6 fl. oz. Pours a clear nutbrown beer with a firm offwhite head. The aroma is dark, roasted and licorice. The flavor is licorice. No bitterness in the palate, and overall a refreshing beer.

I’m not sure if this bottle is bad or not, but the aftertaste is unpleasant, more like burnt popcorn than roasted malt. Decent body etc but not a great finish.

Interesting roast coming from this dark mahogany brown beer. Not a bad schwarzbier except that it leaves a slightly sour aftertaste.

Very dark red/brown color with a quickly disappearing offwhite head. Aroma: roasted malt, caramel, chocolate and a little hops. Taste: Strong chocolate taste, caramel, lower sweetness than I expected but a good beer.

I really like this one. Pours black, with a nice tan head. Not as strong or bitter as a stout, but very smmoth with a nice finish. Blended roasted feel, chocolate and carmel notes. Thumbs up!

Doesn’t excel in any area, but isn’t bad in any area either. I drank this right after a Rasputin Russian Stout, which is better in every way. This one, merely good.

Nice beer thats a bit thin but nice for a session beer. It has a filling quality about it, very bloating I feel like. But A nice swartz with the usual flavors of roasted choco and caramel malts, no sugars to speak of, and no hops either. Decent and nice.
