Commercial Description:
The blackberries we use in Samuel Adams® Blackberry Witbier are perfect for this brew. They deliver a subtle sweetness that balances the traditional citrus flavors from the witbier. The blackberries used in Samuel Adams Blackberry Witbier are sourced from family farms, located at the foot of the Oregon Trail and Cascade Mountains in Western Oregon, where they have been growing some of the best blackberries in the world for centuries. By bringing the blackberries, orange and coriander together with an appealing malt character and a spiciness from the hops, we’ve brewed a flavorful beer with a smooth finish that’s both sweet and tart. Samuel Adams® Blackberry Witbier is brewed with two-row Harrington and Metcalfe malted barley and generous portions of malted wheat. The malted barley and malted wheat provide the beer with its light body while the coriander and orange give the beer its citrus like aromas. We’ve also added some Oregon Marion blackberries, to give the brew a perfect balance between its subtly sweet and tart flavors.

smells light with blackberry and citrus aftertones, golden and cloudy, but looks a bit watered down..., light in taste with a bite at the beginning, with a smooth and nice blackberry finish. overall a fun beer, but i’ve had better...

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy gold with small white head. The aroma is very much like potpourri, but maybe a little bit more berry-focused. Flavor is unnecessarily sweet with lots of berry, honey, and malt. There’s a little bit of twang to cut the sweetness, but not enough. Just another underwhelming fruit beer.

Bottle. The aromas of this beer when poured are actually quite nice. There are definitely some blackberry flavors as well as the wheat. It’s a slightly cloudy dark golden color, with an off-white head. Smells great, looks geat in the glass. The flavors are a bit disappointing, although I certainly didn’t dislike as much as many others apparently have. It is certainly not overly fruity, there’s just a hint of the blackberry flavor, and it’s very nicely balanced with the strong wheat flavors. It’s a very thin beer, but the balance is very nice. I had this beer on a very hot day, which could be part of the enjoyment I found. Stacked up against some of your bigger beers this will certainly be lacking in flavor, but I think some of the very low scores here are a bit misleading.

Pours a murky/ cloudy light copper with a foamy white head. Aromas of light fruit, with a citrus undertone producing a lingering sour/sweet combination. Flavor is very bland with a subtle sourness. Slight notes of spice and fruit bearing a little citrus. Many flavors but so hard to find them without a good sense of taste and experience. So all in all, much to watery for my palate.

Looks like a Wit, so it starts good. the aroma is decent, bready with some fruit. The body is thin, but its a wit, so I’ll be forgiving. The flavor is bland with some bberry hinting around. The finish has a wheat character to it. I’m glad they didn’t shove tons of blackberry into this, but it isn’t the best fruit beer I’ve had.

Amber with a very thin white head. Aroma is a very fruity blackberry, wheat, light orange peel. Taste is blackberry with a light hoppiness and wheat showing in the end.

I may be giving this beer more credit then I should be, when I tried this beer I had already drank some rather heavy thick beers so this stuff was like water but it did have a fruity sweet taste, it reminds me alot of the Sam Adams Cherry Wheat very light, kinda like flavored carbonated water. Very disappointing.
