Pours a hazy straw gold with a nose of tart, hairy blackberry bushes, and some grass. Flavor is blackberry, bread, and a nice mellow sweetness. Not a bad wheat beer. haddon90 (1043), Alexandria, Virginia, USA

Light fruit notes...pleasant. Light tart and a hint of malt. Hint of caramel. Kind of light thought for a fruit beer. Interesting with the blackberries. Dogbrick (2907), Columbus, Ohio, USA

The beer is a clear orange color with a thin off-white head that dissipates quickly. Thin sheet of lacing that slides down the glass quickly. Mild blackberry and coriander in the nose. Light body with tart blackberry and spice flavors along with a touch of malt. The finish is fruity with a short blackberry and malt aftertaste. Average overall. jjuf1853 (482), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 16, 2009 Bottle pours a clear, pale orange color with a dense white foamy head. Good lacing along the glass. Mellow aroma of blackberry and wheat. Flavor is a nice mixture of sweetness from the blackberries, spiciness from the hops and coriander, and a back layer of malt. The aftertaste finishes with a slight dry tartness. An interesting fruit variety from Sam Adams. smooch (114), Sylvania, Ohio, USA

Was initially concerned it would be too Smirnoff-like with too much fruit flavor. The blackberry flavor was a bit subdued, in a good way. Flavor had some bitterness with a hint of blueberry. thin mouth feel Enjoyed the first half of the bottle, afterwards flavor got old an lost it’s appeal. One was enough, just did fit my tastes. hamsterglory (48), Bryan, Texas, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Mar 14, 2009 Bottle. Poured a clear medium orange color. The head was two fingers high and off white with decent retention. I smelled the blackberry, but I might have guessed it was strawberry if I had not known which berry they used. There was also a whiff of cereal grain. I didn’t get much in the way of orange or coriander in the nose. Overall, the aroma was pleasant and reminiscent of flower blossom. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Delicately tart and fruity up front. The blackberry flavor continued into the finish, but was somewhat medicine-like unfortunately. Soft caramel and toasted bread malts emerged in the middle and accompanied the fruit to the end. I would have never guessed the base beer was a wit. Not bad, but not something I would search for again.
