Blom (651), Odense, Denmark Sep 12, 2007 This baby pours like a kitten, and tonight it looks beatiful in my Great Divide glass with collapsing foamy clouds of beer dreams. Now, who is this Boston chap at the front of the bottle? He has always given me a mighty thirst, so cheers to him! The aroma is illusive, but I smell mandarin and caramel. The taste is dry hoppy, but at the same time sweet underneath. And what a dance at the tip of the tongue - thousands of small bobbles igniting even more thirst than Mr. Bosten himself. Ahhh, this is doing wonders to my mood tonight.
SODAK14 (43), Rapid City, South Dakota, USA Sep 3, 2008 Previously I was not a Sam Adams fan but I really liked this one..even though it was out of my lighter beer wheelhouse. Easy to drink, lots of tiny bubbles (for those of you who care). An interesting (burnt?) after taste. Really good beer that would go good with food or by itself. junon (136), Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Sep 3, 2008 Unexpected roasted and caramel flavors. There is a creamy texture to it also found in the aroma. Not a brilliant beer but a solid effort. pik5el (44), Pasadena, Maryland, USA Aug 29, 2008 Grabbed this in a Sam Adams mix pack. I would compare this to the Boston Lager. It’s pleasant, and I enjoy it. Nothing great to say though. SuIIy (1109), W Newton, Massachusetts, USA Aug 29, 2008 bottle. redish hue of a color with a small off white head. nose is lightly hoppy with some caramel and roast notes. Palate is smooth and kinda syrupy, not much tingle or carbonation. Flavor is caramel with some light hop notes in the backround, a bit of some roast and some strawish grass notes bretupdegraff (62), Fishers, Indiana, USA Aug 27, 2008 better than the standard Lager. a drinkable beer but not worth looking for.
