MFootball (10), USA May 16, 2008 Found it to be very similar to Sam Adam’s Boston Lager. Drank them in succession, although I was slightly intoxicated.
This is a very drinkable beer, maybe a little less hoppy than the lager (which I also enjoy). Solid, but nothing spectacular.
Blizzer34 (25), New Jersey, USA Sep 7, 2008 similiar to the brown ale, but definitely better. has a caramel malt character and a light brown appearance... bsm80 (99), Massapequa, New York, USA Sep 7, 2008 Amber pour with a slightly roasted malt nose and a nice head, crisp and balanced, some hint of fruit and spice. SODAK14 (44), Rapid City, South Dakota, USA Sep 3, 2008 Previously I was not a Sam Adams fan but I really liked this one..even though it was out of my lighter beer wheelhouse. Easy to drink, lots of tiny bubbles (for those of you who care). An interesting (burnt?) after taste. Really good beer that would go good with food or by itself. junon (136), Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Sep 3, 2008 Unexpected roasted and caramel flavors. There is a creamy texture to it also found in the aroma. Not a brilliant beer but a solid effort. pik5el (44), Pasadena, Maryland, USA Aug 29, 2008 Grabbed this in a Sam Adams mix pack. I would compare this to the Boston Lager. It’s pleasant, and I enjoy it. Nothing great to say though.
