blipp (578), Grand Island, New York, USA May 14, 2008 Bottle. Pours orange with an off white head. Sweet malt aroma with a bit of caramel. Medium body. Flavor is again sweet malt, caramel, a light roasted note a hint of grass and hops in the finish. Not bad, just a pretty typical amber ale.
Homer321 (17), Rockledge, Florida, USA Jul 17, 2008 Don’t pick up much in the aroma other than malt. Appearance is beat\iful caramel and very clear. Initial maltiness comes through but I expected more hops with all the advertising. I ffeel the lager counterpart has more hop aroma. Overall a pretty good beer fro what it is. realbama (22), Birmingham, Alabama, USA Jul 16, 2008 A fair beer. I agree that it is boring. Nice little head, dark golden color. Better than alot of others. Its solid, but I wouldnt drink more than one in a sitting. RONCOD (57), Pennsylvania, USA Jul 15, 2008 Golden amber color with a thick white head. It had a caramel and malty aroma. The taste was kind of malt, caramel, and banana flavor. I haven’t had a Sam Adams yet that I didn’t like. ditmier (153), Boise, Idaho, USA Jul 11, 2008 2008 Bottle - Pours a browning yellow with a sizeable off white head, aroma is metallic malt and slight citrus malt, taste follows...very straight-forward, malted bitter on the front end, finished grainy and astringent on the back...not terrible but pretty forgettable... ucusty (803), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Jul 6, 2008 Amber pour with a off-white head.
