Feb 21, 2009 Tasting beers is not my biggest hobby in life, but tasting different types of Whisky’s is. What I loved about this brew is that the aftertaste absolutely resemebled the aftertaste of a fine lowland dram. Lovely and soft malt dream in the mouth with just a hint of caramel. Ordinary look, ordinary feel but one of the best lingering beer experiences out there.

Feb 20, 2009 Not a bad domestic american beer. Sam Adams makes a ton of specialty beers, and to put it nicely, they just aren’t that good. But there boston lager is respectable. its appearance is a a reddish/orange body with a nice thick fluffy white head, also with a slight tint. its aroma is slightly fruity and hoppy. and its got a nice amber flavor and even is slightly creamy, with a nice little hoppy finish, and goes down easy. Great little beer to eat with steak on the grill.

It has a very pleasing, hoppy, slightly fruity aroma, an appealing amber body that pours to a thick, creamy head, and a hoppy, malty flavor with just enough bitterness and an excellent aftertaste.

smells malty, very hoppy for a lager, and has almoust a hint of fruityness, a bit like dried grapes
tasts malty, really hoppy, with an interesting floral-fruity hint
aftertaste good bitterness
a good lager, the floral hops and the fruity dried grape hint are remembering me a little bit of brooklyn lager
