Samuel Adams Boston Lager

Bottle. Pours golden orange with short lived head. Smells rich with both malts and hops. Tastes crisp, with sweet nutty malt and earthy hops. I know Sam Adams brags about being very balanced, but they do follow through. Excellent!

Amber pour with an off white head. Active carbonation, but not fizzy. Aroma is carmel and malt. Flavor is sweet malt at the start balanced with mild hops bitterness in the finish. Overall, malt and carmel sweetness dominate the taste.

Amber pour with a malty smell. Taste is malty, some hops with a mildly bitter, slightly hoppy, finish. This was one of the first Sam Adams beers I tried and quite enjoyable, perhaps a tiny bit on the thin side.

Bottle, pours a dark amber, white head. Caramel flavor. A great beer that you can find anywhere.

A beer for which America can be proud. Overall quality (pleasant aroma, consistent appearance, accessible but diverse flavor and smooth palate) is good. Can be found almost anywhere, which means a good beer is never too far away. When on tap, I noticed the caramel flavors the most.

Great in its catigory. Roboust bouqet in the nose some banana citrus. Flavor is medium bodied, banana, nice roasted caramel malt character. Good brew.

Pours a dark amber, with a heavy hoppy aroma. Has a less hop taste than the aroma would lead you to believe. Taste remains fresh thoughout whole beer and does not diminish with temperature variance. Great alternative to lesser beers if at an establishment that doesn’t carry an array of beers.

draft, pours amber with off white head. nice floral and earthy hop aroma, flavor isn’t as hoppy as the nose but still some pleasant noble hop notes, caramel body, clean and refreshing. i didn’t recall this beer having this nice a hop character. not bad at all.
