smjohnst (202), , Pennsylvania, USA Aug 2, 2008 Has a lager start with a cough syrup taste type finish/aftertaste. I just don’t understand the hype. Pershing (146), Garland, Texas, USA Aug 1, 2008 This a beer that one can drink any time of the year. Darker than most lagers,
this beer has a myriad of complex aromas and taste. The thick head stays around from start to finish. One of the best American beers brewed today. bpar73 (12), Bellaire, Michigan, USA Jul 31, 2008 Darker than usual lager. Great hoppy taste and finish. Way better than any of the mega brew competition. iammarc (193), Inverness, Scotland Jul 29, 2008 I really like this beer, a great sweet tasty yet a little hoppy with it. Great for the thirst too. An okay pourer, sits in a glass well. Definitely a beer a could drink every night after a grueling day. klavoie22 (16), Newmarket, New Hampshire, USA Jul 27, 2008 I like this beer. It’s actually one of my "fall back" favorites. Local and good, draught much much better than bottle. It deserves much respect. MartiniFiend (104), Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, USA Jul 26, 2008 Bottle.Darker gold color with a slight head. Weak hop aroma. Light to the palate. Flavor is a slightly sweet hop mix. jkwalking05 (1483), Arlington, Texas, USA Jul 26, 2008 Amber color with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma is of malt with a light hop character, simple but pleasant. Flavor is of nuts and biscuits with a light malty sweetness. McGarnigle (303), Rochester, New York, USA Jul 26, 2008 Bottle drink by October. Nothing new to be said. Still in the same family as you father’s favorite lager, but more malty sweetness and better German hops. Not really bitter, but fragrant, floral hops. At times I’ve had this and it is better, sometimes it is worse.
