SN11 (57), USA Jul 10, 2008 Updated: Jul 11, 2008One of only few mass produced American beers worth drinking. Good, malty lager, nice bronze color, unique, bold, slightly roasted flavor. Very solid lager. bwbeall812 (27), Brentwood, Tennessee, USA Jul 9, 2008 bottle.Light amber with light white lacing. This is a very nice consistent brew that offers a well malt to hop balance. Nice caramel malts with an piney floral bitter finish. Leaves me wanting another WillieV (191), Maryland, USA Jul 7, 2008 Bottle: Light brown pour with a minimal head. Pretty much what a lager is suppose to taste like. Strong aftertaste of bitter hopps. Block (363), West Lafayette, Indiana, USA Jul 5, 2008 Very nice balance of malts and hops. A great easy to find brew with consistent flavor. Not a beer I would purchase routinely, but a great brew to fall back on when the selection is low. ericandersnavy (1039), crossroads, Texas, USA Jul 5, 2008 bottle thanks to swalden 28. poured a light amber with a white head. aroma was nice blend of caramel malt. flavor was twirled around nicely with the caramel and hops. this is a good beer!! alexkeil (20), New York, USA Jul 3, 2008 This is what I think of when I think beer. Sam Adams is what planted the seed when I realized there was more to life than bud, miller, coors. Great balance of sweet malt and bitter hops...and what I really love about this beer is the delicious aftertaste - something so few beers can accomplish laottoman (1), McDonough, Georgia, USA does not count Jul 3, 2008 Sorry to say, I found this beer very very bitter. Have heard so many good things about it, but it’s not for my palate. I’ve drank many kinds of beer (spent 12 years in Germany/France) so have had my fair share of good and bad. I gave the rest of the 12 pack away. I did give it a two beer taste test thinking that the first was just a bad first impression..nopey, second one didn’t help. carruthm (1112), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 2, 2008 The Sam Adams standard. Yellow pour, thin head, yeasty aroma, above average taste, meh palate.
