Samuel Adams Boston Lager

Had a nice aroma , nice color. Tasted okay, but the sour aftertaste was enough to turn me off of this one for good.

(Sample from July 7, 2006 Beer Club Meeting; Fom tap at Chili’s in Buda on July 1, 2008) Clear golden orange color with small head. Refreshing and light with slight hop flavor and the standard skunky pale lager aftertaste. Not bad for something I still feel like I have to settle for when the next best thing is a Stella Artois or a Heineken. A very nice beer... enjoyable, easy to drink, and still tasty.

Overall, the best American beer I’ve had. A crisp and fairly plain tasting lager. Bitter taste of honey, sugarry malts and fruit. The appearance is a medium coloured amber lager with a medium sized head. Overall, I would drink again. I have heard that this is the worst Sam Adams beer, so I will try to find some of their other brews.

Deep amber with a nice frothy head and good lacing. Aroma lightly of hops and some malt. Bitter flavor but evens out nicely on the tongue with a decent after taste. Something anyone could enjoy on a daily basis with friends. Not bad at all.

An American classic. Hints of fruit and bitter hop. One of the most outstanding characteristics of this beer is how well it goes with some food, in particular certain seafood. It is unbelievable how well the simple taste of Boston Lager goes with fresh Crappie.

Bottle, nice beer avg head. Little brown tinted color. Bitter ad fruity taste, good to drink.

Poured golden with short lived head. Taste malt, slightly sweet and bitter.

Bottled. Nice caramel malt aroma, but no real hop aroma. Really good crystal/caramel malt flavor with a good balance of hops. Slight sweetness from hops. Dependable beer. Pretty much a reliably available and good beer. Almost everywhere has this beer available.
