Samuel Adams Boston Lager

A very dependable beer. This style is not my favorite, however, the beer has gone a long way in changing the beer culture in America. For a long time, and still today, people drink the B-M-C out of habit. It’s not necessarily that they think those are good, but most people don’t think of anything else when it comes to beer. Sam Adams has introduced a genuinely good, mainstream option.

bottle 12 oz. This is a great american made beer. However, when the formula changed and the brewery moved to PA the beer lost its appeal. A great micro turned macro that’s still good, but lost its way.

Has distinct aromas of malt and hops with corresponding taste and smoothness. A really drinkable beer.

Always a good choice. The Boston lager pours a beautiful golden amber color with great clarity. On top sits a thick white head that leaves good lacing on the glass. A wonderful floral and piney hops fills the nose and leads you to the first sip. The taste is full of these floral and piney hops from start to the finish. The malt character is bready, lightly roasted and hold the hops in perfect balance. The palate has a medium body with a smooth texture and average carbonation. Samuel Adams finishes with a nice hopy fade. Cheers!

Definitely one of the most drinkable beers I’ve ever had, either bottle or tap. Not overwhelmingly fantastic, but always available and always good.
