chicagodri (473), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 25, 2008 Pours a clear gold with a thick white head. Sweet aroma of cherries. A little watery but I thought it was an enjoyable beer...especially during a hot summer day. There is a ton of sweet cherry flavor in this beer though, which is nice because I like cherry. Worth a try.
Imaena (240), Portland, Maine, USA Aug 29, 2008 Bottle 07’. Cherries and light wheat in the nose. Brilliant amber pour with crema head. Flavor is all cherries and bitterness. Cloying sweetness in the finish. Not a fruit nut so that has definetly colored this rating. brew4fun (118), West Virginia, USA Aug 29, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pour is bright copper, slightly hazy. Creamy white 1 finger head dissipates rather quickly. Aroma of wheat and cherry, increasingly so as it warms. Taste is wheat malt, with sweet cherry upfront. I do not get any citrus, but a soft bitterness is present. Body is light, palate on the thin side. Very refreshing brew. Boutip (1761), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Aug 21, 2008 Bottle: Poured a lightly red color ale with a small foamy head with average retention and no lacing. Aroma consists of sweet Wisconsin cherries with some more subtle wheat malt. Taste is also dominated by the sweet Wisconsin cherries with a light medicinal note that I wasn’t exactly fond of. Wheat is very subdued and almost impossible to detect. A bit too much of the cough syrup taste for my taste buds but still a worthless effort. Droptank (63), Spring, USA Aug 21, 2008 Very refreshing and sweet. Say what you want about fruit in beer, but this is just delicious in my opinion. Subtle, sweet and finishes clean with a pleasant aftertaste. Good lawnmower beer. EnnuiDivine (10), New Jersey, USA Aug 18, 2008 Works better in concept than in execution. Cherry Wheat is a light, summery beer with an almost overpowering cherry taste. A smooth palate turns to sickly sweetness if the beer is just warmer than chilled.
