Red orange pour with a nice sized off white head. Aroma was quite dull and weak for a lambic. The cranberry smell is very faint and not sweet. Taste was sweet and almost decent initially but then a distinct rotten funk emerges and its aftertaste is very bad. Don’t like lambics; especially not this one.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 5, 2009 12 oz. Ruby pour from bottle. Light cranberry aroma. Taste is sour cranberries and malt. This is a classic example of something growing on you. I HATED this beer the first time I tried it. Over time, I grew to enjoy and appriciate its’ unique flavor. | 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Dec 4, 2009 Pours mahogany/orange with little head. Smells like stale cranberry and toilet water. The taste isn’t much better. You definitely get a little cranberry and banana in there but not enough other qualities to make it drinkable. There are literally few beers I would rather have less than this. Just terrible. Watered down and just awful jport4087 (89), Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 4, 2009 The beer pours a hazy reddish orange. The aroma has a bit of a sweet and fermented fruit. The beer is slightly sweet but has an astringent finish. The after taste is a bit sour, with no hints of cranberries. I was expecting more from this brew and was sadly disappointed. dimenhetfield (187), , Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 4, 2009 I really don’t understand why this one is rated so low, it’s a great lambic ale. The aroma is not overpowering and you get exactly what you expect, the cranberry taste that will go well with dessert after a big thanksgiving meal or Christmas feast. simonbilyk (50), Maine, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Dec 2, 2009 12oz. Nose is banana and cranberry, they don’t go together. Flavor is the same except with the balance even stronger in favor of the banana. There is also a funky flavor at the end, must be the maple syrup? This beer seems like it’s well brewed, the flavor is well developed and the bitter vs sour is balanced but it is unpleasant to drink. The banana is too strong, I wonder if there should even be any banana. The label hypes the yeast but perhaps a different one should have been used. I’m scoring it low because I don’t understand what caused this beer to be made and marketed to such a wide audience. If this was a seasonal offering from some local brewery it would make the costumers mad and not want to return. Sorry, I generally love beer... luttonm (307), Belgrade, Serbia

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 30, 2009 33 cl bottle, Fargo, ND, USA. Hazy amber with a rose tinge, more wheat than fruit (a good thing based on the cough syrup flavor of their cherry lambic in years past). Mild flavor with a building cranberry wave, works very well with the style. Interesting slant on an old world beer with new world fruit, and a nice restraint from overloading with cranberry juice. malrubius (993), Valley Stream, New York, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 29, 2009 12 ounce bottle from last year in tumbler. Hazy reddish with white ring. Cranberry leather wood underwear aroma. Sweet tart cranberry wood jelly. Still has some effervescence. Pretty gross. Not my style, but not as bad as I expected.
