I LOVE CRANBERRY JUICE AND OF COURSE I ALSO LOVE BEER, HOWEVER THIS BREW DOSNT MIX TO WELL WITH ME TOO MUCH WHEAT FLAVOR AND NOT VERY PLEASANT SOUR FERMENTATION . NOT A VERY GOOD FRUIT BEER.

Anyways, pours a rosy amber with a small white head. Smells wheaty and sour, with some slight fruitiness. Not really picking up cranberry per se, but some general fruity sweetness. Taste is light malt with a carbonated cranberry tart/sweet flavor. Really, better than what I thought, thought it tastes a little more artificial than the New Glarus Cran-bic, which I just had. Smooth and medium-bodied. Wouldn’t search this out, but I’d drink it before macro swill. thedogs (5), Florida, USA does not count | 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Pours a pink/red color with a very short lasting head. It had an incredibly sweet and tart flavor which was just not at all appealing to me. Aftertaste was not so great. I struggled to finish this. grimreaperguru (22), santee, California, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 20, 2009 Aroma is obviously dominated by cranberries, but I got hints of honey, slight molasses, and some spices. A bit dull on the palate, but there is something appealing about its heavy sweetness. Flavor is dominated by cranberries, but, unfortunately, like other American fruit beers, there’s a very, very detectable American malt flavor that somehow reminds me of lysol when it’s combined with the fruit. The aroma was much more appealing than the actual taste of this beer. Thankfully, the lysol taste comes and goes, but when it crops up . . . yikes. This particular one was far less egregious than others I’ve tasted (Leinenkugel’s summer shandy). nuplastikk (1217), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 20, 2009 12oz bottle. Quite a nice thick cherry red appearance with a thin, steady head. Lots of berry in the aroma. A little thicker and maltier than I remembered, with some pleasant fruity tastes, and some mild tartness. Certainly an odd variation on the style, more along the lines of a fruit beer than a Lambic. Thick and rich in it medium bodiedness, I feel that this beer has improved over years past. I like palate changing beers, and at around 1 dollar for this beer, I can dig it. brenn79 (211), Idaho, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 18, 2009 12 oz. bottle- Pours cloudy reddish brown with little head, what is it with these Sam Adams brews, none of them have decent heads? Aroma is mild cranberries and yeast. The flavor is dominantly bananas and cranberry, but bananas definitely, I would have liked more tart like a cranberry, that would have really upped this beers flavor for me. ljay6880 (156), , Pennsylvania, USA

Pour was caramel cider with an inch of off-white head sitting on top; on a side note, the lacing was long lasting and beautiful on this brew. Nose is cranberries, wheat, and candied sugar. Taste is exactly the same as the nose, but the candied sugar is very prominent right on through to the finish. I don’t have much experience with lambics, and while not the best beer out there, I definitely enjoyed it. Unibonger (61), Mount Shasta, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 17, 2009 Hazy deep copper with light head retention. Cranberry very present on the nose, with some sweetness from the malt. Little bit of "wet blanket" too. The "wet blanket" is on the tongue, and not much cranberry, though its still slightly fruity flavor found in hefe. High carbonation with a medium body, tingle on the side of the tongue.
