hogan873 (200), Joliet, Illinois, USA May 1, 2008 As far as a good beer goes, this one is fine. However, it doesn’t really make it as a hefeweizen. Appearance is there: cloudy amber with a white head. Aroma is very light...some citrus and yeast. High carbonation on the palate. Smooth and not very spicy. Some notes of citrus, but not much else. Very easy to drink.
pabstsfan777 (41), Unionville, Connecticut, USA Oct 12, 2008 Pours clear, with large white head. Citrus aroma and taste. Not a bad Heffe, but not the greatest either. borgination (101), Lee, Massachusetts, USA Oct 9, 2008 Sure, it’s not as full bodied as some true German Hefe’s, but it is medium bodied and has a mild citrus aroma and flavor. PaulHegedus (119), Brampton, Ontario, Canada Oct 6, 2008 Bottle. Transparent, golden. Looks more like a krystalweissen. Head is meringue-like and long lasting. There’s heavy lemon in the aroma, almost resembling the lemon flavouring in cheap lambic ales. A bit sour, not pleasantly so. Also, there’s some candy sugar or thick icing: strongly aromatic. I taste very sour citrus; it is incredibly lemony with some faint hints of lemon rind. Thin. The sourness is not particularly appealing. MaltOMeal (327), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA Sep 25, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a clear, pale yellow-gold with a white head. smell was hard to discern as it wasn’t strong or distinct. Almost like a lager mixed with wheat smell. Taste was rather bland, actually. Slightly fruity. Mouthfeel was medium-to-thin and carbonated. No big deal. dkachur (900), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Sep 22, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Kinda thick looking hazy orange pour. Strong grain and wheat aroma with some caramel notes. Kind of an odd butterscotch-fruity taste. Medium body.
