Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams Holiday Porter is a full-flavored porter inspired by the famous drink of London's Victorian era luggage porters. Brewed with generous portions of Caramel, Munich and Chocolate malt, this hearty porter finishes with traditional English Fuggles and East Kent Goldings. Cheers!

Bottle. Pours a darkish brown color with a small, beigish head that is velvety and sits on top of the beer throughout. Almost a nutty color really. Nose is roasty with some chocolate notes. Palate is velvety, similar to most BBC offerings I have started to notice. Flavors of the light roast and chocolate notes, a sticky palate, and a fairly nice lacing is noticed.

Bottle. Sweet roasted malt aroma. Medium tan creamy head. Roasted slightly smoky flavor- balanced with sweet chocolate bitterness... nice lasting carbonation

Pours a very deep ruby red with a thick medium sized head. Aroma is plum raisin and chocolate. The flavor is very similar to the aroma but the dark chocolate is much more abundant the fruity flavors shine through as well but there is an odd minerally quality that throws this off just a bit. The beer is plenty hoppy with woody and earthy hop tones and more than enough bitterness to round this one out just right, seems pretty festive I do suppose.

Out of the bottle. Yet again a domestic beer that impressed me with its hearty flavor that wasnt as watered down as i thought it would of been. Honestly, you cant go wrong with sam adams brews they brew great beers. The holiday porter had a nice aroma i smelle hints of chocolate and coffee were most notable with me. Overall, It was a great beer and it surprised me with its quality. Enjoy.

Dark heady pour with lingering foam. Roasty, smooth porter that is nicely bittered and spiced. well done -

Pours deep brown/black, light head retention (didn’t pour this one quite vigorously as I should’ve). Want to say a prune or other type fruit scent with the malt on the aroma. Big bodied, goes down smooth, very little bitterness but not too sweet. Odd flavor at the end that I can’t quite put a finger on. Light/medium carbonation.

bottle from the holiday mix pack. GOod mocha smell. Some chocolate giving way to nice hops in the taste. Surprisingly hoppy but not in a bad way at all. Very good beer

12 oz bottle from the Winter Classics pack. Lovely chocolate and caramel aroma with a slight hop bite. Pours a deep ruby, almost black, with a thick, lasting tan head. Nice lacing. Flavor is primarily chocolate and caramel malt. Full body with creamy texture and just enough carbonation. Lingering English hop finish. This is a lovely porter. Highly recommended.

A nearly black body with small tan head. It has wonder chocolate aroma with some nut and caramel. It has a creamy texture and a smooth, slightly bitter finish. The taste begins with a toasted chocolate malt, then fades into a moderately bitter hop mixed with coffee.
