| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Dec 10, 2009 Pours a dark brown with a large tan head. Smells of licorice and roasty sweetness. Smooth and crisp on the palate with a short finish. Overall mild flavors of chocolate and coffee. Malt is the main player in this porter. SkateSRT8 (10), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 8, 2009 Bottle, from Winter Classics 12 pack. Pours to a light white small head. Has a dark black opaque color. Very delicious flavors of malt with nice tasty hints of coffee. I take that back great tastes of coffee combined with the taste of chocolate and coffee together. The flavors are even through the palate during the aroma, sip, taste and after taste. SpencerDB (68), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 6, 2009 Poured into pint glass with a pretty thin white head. I was a bit confused here... tasted and smelled a bit like malted vinegar. I didn’t get any of the caramel or chocolate stated in the description on the bottle. Just odd to me. awiseman01 (362), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 6, 2009 Bottle from Brother Eric. Pours dark with transparent brown effect and foamy beige head. Nose is sweet, brown sugar malt. Taste is smooth, creamy dark roasted malt, finishing very dry and bitter. One of the better from the holiday pack, yet still nothing to rave about. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 5, 2009 This was actually my first porter. Pours very dark, not as much head as I was expecting. Darker head as well. Very bitter, kind of harsh. Not too bad, but definitely nothing special. HarmonKill-a-Brew (320), Wilmar, Arkansas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 5, 2009 Nice dark cola color... a beauty to look at for sure... but from there it kinda goes down hill. Aroma was faint and the flavor was mostly burnt and little else... little of the coffee and sweet flavors I usually get from porters. Not bad for sure but unfortunately a disappointment :-( dimenhetfield (191), , Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 4, 2009 Not too bad. It has a dark color, more like a stout. Has aromas of chocolate and citrus. Has a nice creamy taste with a bitter finish. Another reason why I love Christmas beers. KornDogg (210), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA
