Commercial Description:
A full-bodied English-style Porter, this brew has a substantial roasted malt character. Brewed with traditional English Ale hops and sweetened with Scottish heather honey. The honey balances the spiciness from the hops and the roasted malt character. The beer is finished by dry hopping with English Goldings.

Dark brown in color, adequate beige head, mostly lasting. The aroma is vanilla with honey. Thin and sweet, with a hint of coffee. Finish is is pretty dry.

Bottle:   Dark brown, cola hues, moderate sudsy light beige head, somewhat decent lacing.   Roasted malt nose.   Honey aspect is certainly there but is minor.   Minor roastiness on the tongue, mild sweetness.   Honey aspect is minor.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.  Comes across as a lighter Porter with a slightly sweeter tinge.   Not bad, but not all that memorable either.   Not overly hoppy/bitter, which is nice, but also comes across as fairly light.   Decent softer example of a Porter.

12oz bottle from Total Wine (Tampa, FL). Pours a pitch black color with one finger white head that settles quickly but laces the glass. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of chocolate, light roast, honey, caramel, light spice, some hints of toffee and brown sugar. Flavor is about the same with a little more roastiness and a light funk. Medium body with a strange finish. Seemed a little thin for the style.

Pours out dark brown with a small tannish head, aroma is of roasted malts and a touch of honey. Tastes like a typical porter, the honey taste was barely noticeable for me though.

Aroma of butter, honey and malt. Taste a bit off, but the finish is bitter. Dark body, medium beige head.

Not as flavorful as many other porters that I have found. Kind of a toned down version.

Poured from bottle. Dark color with ruby overtones. Strong honey scent immediately evident. Taste is a bit floral and sweet, with slight hop bitterness underneath. Sweet malty/honey aftertaste, which I liked quite a bit. Will definitely buy again.
