Commercial Description:
A full-bodied English-style Porter, this brew has a substantial roasted malt character. Brewed with traditional English Ale hops and sweetened with Scottish heather honey. The honey balances the spiciness from the hops and the roasted malt character. The beer is finished by dry hopping with English Goldings.

black pour with a thin beige head. roasted malts and a layer of sweetness on the nose. not too thick for a porter and the honey laces the chocolate quite well. best beer of the night.

Pours deep red-black with a 1 finger beige head that lasts the length of the glass fading softly to a skim. Aroma is of roasted malt, lots of fruity honey, chocolate sandwich cookies, a little citrus hops and....lots of honey.Flavor starts with spicy hops leading to cinnamon, dark bread malts, caramel malts, roasted malts, honey on wheat bread. Hops start in toward the middle with some spicy and floral notes that are really welcome considering the malt goes unchecked for a few seconds. Really the beer has alot going for it but the carbonation is too high and the hop bitterness to low to balance out the intense (though really good) malt. However I give it fairly good marks because I still enjoy it alot.

Aroma: dark, roasted malt, slightly of orangy honey, fresh American hops, vaguely of vanilla. There’s something very interesting going on here – there’s a citrusy scent that adds a fiery quality. Not bad at all. Knäckebröd.
Flavour: nice, very rustic, rye bread with burnt flour on. Nice, subtle honey sweetness goes hand in hand with the warm malts. The floral qualites are more evident in the aftertaste which also shows a more sophisticated side, slightly reminiscent of a grassy islay or speyside single malt.
Appearance: very dark reddish brown with the typical beige head
Palate: nice, reminiscent of a bock and… well… American porter. Medium fizzy, only slightly creamy. Quite nice.

Dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma of grainy malt with some caramel and honey. Flavor of roasted and rye malts with honey sweetness. Body is kind of grainy.

Bought in 6 pack because I couldn’t find it anywhere else in a single. Pours dark but not so dark in the light. To bold of a porter to work with my expectations, faint honey, with burnt malts, hops add a nice finishing bite with mild bitterness. Not bad but only once in a while.
