Feb 21, 2008 12 oz. bottle...Pours a hazy orange w/ a fizzy white head. Nose of grass, pine, citrus...flavor was that of an IPA, IMHO. Citrusy, piney...very bitter aftertaste. Good mouthfeel, but not easy to drink. I liked this, but not enought to seek it out again.

does not count  Feb 21, 2008 This beer has a very intense hop flavor. I find it gets smoother the longer you let warm up. Tha aroma is a very strong "hoppy" oder.

Feb 19, 2008 a very earthy hops aroma it is suprisingly balanced for having so much hops the lace on the very lacy head

Feb 16, 2008 Sam Adams sure did not skimp on the hops in this brew. Aroma is fresh bavarian hops just as Sam Adams claims. Taste is a little harsh up front with a smoother finish. A very good beer and would try again maybe on tap if I get the chance.

Feb 16, 2008 This is almost an IPA with how much hops is in here. Excellent taste. The bottle says ’An Intense Hop Experience’ and it isn’t lying. Pours a cloudy gold color with a lasting fluffy head. Nice carbonation and a lasting after taste. I will buy this beer again

Feb 15, 2008 What a wonderful beer. The brewers at Sam Adams really did it with this one. A wonderful imerial pilsner that I would recommend to the beer lover.

Feb 14, 2008 Bottle. Old label – 2007?. Pours a hazy orange color like a hefe with light head and a little bit of lacing. Nose is hops at first, than more malt than hops as it warms. Palate is malt with a hop bite, but not as intense as the label says. Dry, bitter aftertaste. An ok beer.
