Aroma is oranges, and a bit of spice, but mostly oranges. Flavor is big and thick. Lots of citrus, malt and some yeast. Reminded me of a Belgian Triple minus the Belgian yeast. Interesting. The best of the Sam Adams Imperials, but that’s not saying a whole lot. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 7, 2009 Bottle shared with and courtesy of Blankboy. Dark hazy yellow, good sized white head. Aroma - all alcohol. Taste - even more alcohol. This thing is a monster obliterating anything other flavours that might be hiding here. And I like my booze monsters. Credit for the effort and the "massiveness" of the beer but it ultimately fails as anything worth drinking more than a few sips of. jeremytoni (1133), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 6, 2009 4 pack bought at Beverages 4 Less in Santee. We decided to try this since the beers I wanted (De Proef) were room temperature and we needed something to hold us over until they were chilled. This wasn’t bad. I don’t consider it a White ale like I thought it was. Still very good, and sort of sweet. Some caramel, and citrus and spice. sjolles85 (90), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 5, 2009 bottle - Pours hazy orange with a one finger head. It has a substantial citrus aroma, especially oranges. There’s also a little alcohol detectable. The taste is sweet, really sweet. The citrus flavors are there. It’s medium bodied and stays sweet right through to the finish. I rather liked it but there’s no question some people will find it too sweet. mouse725 (74), Albany, New York, USA

Definite orange, coriander and banana, with alcohol blended nicely in and maybe contributing to the sweetness. Bought another bottle the following week. Mmm! Serving note: think this does best from a tulip glass because of that great sweetness typically reserved for Belgian beers. thejon375 (392), Tampa, Florida, USA
