| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 31, 2009 Sampled during Cellar’s Shorewood first beer sampling event. From 12-oz bottle pours a semi-hazy orange amber brew with an average creamy off-white head that slowly dissipates to a fine film and spotty lacing. Aroma of sweet orange and coriander infused wheat malt, a hint of candi sugar, clove and some honey. Taste is full bodied, thick, with flavors of multi-grain malt, candi sugar, coriander, orange zest vanilla and a hint of yeast. Finish is a tad thick with some mimld earthy spice and coriander aftertaste. MAP (1089), Lakewood, Ohio, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 30, 2009 Single purchased at the Friendly Mini Mart in Lakewood. Pour is a hazy dark amber with a thin white head. Aroma is a little too spiced. The notes of coriander, clove and orange just kind of blend together and overpower what seems like an earthy wood note. Just kind of smells processed and too spicy. Flavor is way too sugary, the mouthfeel is too thick and syrupy and the it just overpowers the rest of the flavors. kiefdog (1628), Tampa, Florida, USA

Generally medium body with a pleasing malt finish. ditmier (1100), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 30, 2009 2009 Bottle - Pours a murky amber with a large off-white head...aroma is spicy, citrusy, fruity and grainy...flavour is immediately cloyingly sweet and I am taken back...second sip, I get orange and lemon, clove and coriander, a bit of biscuit, a shit ton of honey sweetness and a slight throat burn...coats the mouth, decent carbonation...tasty, but definitely one to share... fidelis83 (729), Clinton, Iowa, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 30, 2009 Pours hazy dark amber with a 1 finger creamy white head that has great retention and leaves a few specks of lacing. Aroma is full of nice fresh orange notes, lemon zest, sweet wheat, honey, spice, vanilla, lots of banana just a touch of cotton candy. Flavor is orange, lemon, banana, pepper, caramel, lots of coriander, juicy fruit gum, vanilla creme candies, hints of anise and sweetened grapefruit. Finish is quite sweet and citrusy with a yeasty fade. Palate is very sweet with a soft pleasant carbonation (could be a little higher but is at a pretty good level for me) a slick, slightly syrupy feel and a suprisingly drier finish considering the gooey entry. Really a pretty enjoyable beer overall, to me it is the best out of the new stuff in the "Imperial Series", though I can definitely see why alot of people don’t like it’s cloying sweetness.
