| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 3, 2009 Very good belgian from a brewer that doesn’t stop reinventing itself. Nice to see a beer with such high gravity and obscure style mass marketed. Beer was sweet, and farly neutral with respect to the effect of the yeast. OD40oz (600), Box Elder, South Dakota, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 26, 2009 Pours a nice copper orange with a nice foamy, off-white head. Aroma of citrus. Crisp, clean citrusy orange wheat taste with a nice clean finish. Damn good beer. gws57 (1138), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Apr 19, 2009 Found this one bottled at Binny’s in St. Charles, Illinois. Cloudy, dark orange pour with a medium tannish head that filmed nicely, very well balanced nose of grape and spice, bready malts, and citrusy hops, flavor has some banana, clover honey, cinnamon, raisin, orange, and a thick, oily mouthfeel. Not at all alcoholic, despite the potency. Very impressive. doublebock (197), USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 17, 2009 12oz bottle purchased at The Liquor Shop in Tyngsborro, Mass. Pours a hazy but clear red-amber with a short lived inch of off-white head that leaves some good lacing. Banana, clove, nut, spice all characterize the aroma, more reminiscent of a hefeweizen than a witbier really. Fruity sweet at first, with banana, nut, clove, pith, and a touch of citrus and some alcohol warming at the finish. Rich full body with moderate carbonation. A tasty smooth beer this is - a witbier or any sort of amped-up witbier this is not. Reminds me of a spiced hefeweizen. I like it though, and it’s way better than Samuel Adams White, and one of Samuel Adams’ better beers IMO. Not reviewing this for the style. craftbeerdesign (755), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 13, 2009 shared bottle... pours a very deep orange hue with a good amount of haze, yeast and an an average white head... really nice depth... big citrus and spice on the nose with a touch of apple... big mouthfeel, almost chewy... really nice up front with spice, orange and light fruit... very smooth and soft over the palate... big finish with the alcohol coming forward followed by more citrus. this is an explosive witbier and is imperial in every way... really enjoyed this one. pintocb (511), Darsville, Georgia, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Apr 18, 2009 VERY cloudy pour. Much darker than a wit, but I can see the wit in there.....reminiscent of my first marriage, I got no head at all. The aroma is ester alcohol and some spice. FULL bodied, this thing has a delicate flavor that I didn’t expect. After the first taste, the finish is pure alcohol. Some age might help, but its not like these four bottles will last the weekend or anything....I likey.
