Pours a nice amber red with a tan head and some lacing. A whiff of caramel aroma, quite sweet actually. Same can be said for the flavour; sweet with a touch a bitterness in the end. Nothing earth shattering but

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 3, 2010 Bottle:   Deep amber, heavy, moderate to large fluffy off-white head, sticky lacing.   Slightly sweet biscuity nose, perhaps a little bit of Honeycomb cereal.   Whoa... holy piss, that is a lot of Honeycomb cereal on
the tongue.   Almost unbearable.   Date is best by Nov 08, and here we are.   Hmmm... not what I was thinking of when I think Irish Ale.   That Honeycomb flavor is great for cereal, but on a beer it is absolutely
atrocious.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   At least it has that going for it.   I am thinking it might be necessary to revisit this beer.

This has an unusual medicinal-like toasted caramel aroma. I suppose it is indeed a bit earthy. The flavor is solid with a mild roast and a big caramel toffee taste. Drinkable, but not outstanding. Taste of caramel malt and a little earthy hops. The taste isn’t very strong -- a very drinkable body. A malty crescendo leads up to the finish. The finish is a watery denouement. aenimopiate (148), The United States of Texas, Texas, USA

This one pours a beautiful amber-red color with a tan head that quickly dissipates. I love the warm taste of the malt and subtle presence of the hops. As Irish Reds go, this one is way up there. You can really taste that this company cares about brewing beer. Kudos. GeneralGao (3079), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 18, 2009 Bottle. Poured a clear garnet color with an off white head. Smelled of spicy malt, plum, subdued husky grain, and raisin. Light to medium bodied and slightly sweet. Tasted of corn syrup, caramel, and raisin. Eh. Not all that enjoyable. georgekillian (236), USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 6, 2009 Has a dark, rusty red color coupled with a thin cream head. A soft hop aroma greets the nose followed by flavors of apple and caramel. The body is on the thin side and a bit too watery. However, the tingling, dry finish is quite excellent. The ale’s balance of sweetness in the malts and bitterness in the hops is well executed. Overall, a good beer that feels like it had potential to be even better.
