For a homebrew, I am amazed. Ken Smith, from Colorado, wow, well done sir, well done. Your description is correct, a light taste and a cereal crispness.

This offering from Sam Adams comes from the Longshot competition put out by SA which was a great idea. The body pours a cloudy dark gold on top with a slight honey colored botttom. The head is strong and never waivers from this offering which is fluffly and white. The aroma is boysenberry, wheat, sour fruit, candy, delicious and summery aroma. The feel on the palate is light and carbonated, the taste is very sweet, fruity, almost juice like in quality followed by just enough bitterness to balance that out but still on the sweet side. The finish is so smooth I could easily have a 6-pack of this I hope SA releases this in 6-packs for the summer cause this would be in my fridge all summer. This is my first offering from this longshot 6-pack and if this is any indication of whats to come then bring it on!

Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Small white fizzy diminishing head with golden hazy appearance. Light Carbonation. Aroma is a sweet fruit of strawberry, raspberry and cherry. Light flavor of malts and hops, hints of the fruits but not overpowering. Was looking for more on the palate though.

This beer pours a nice golden color with a good head to it. There is a nice fruit rollup smell to it that is very intence. It also tastes like a hoppy fruit rollup. This is an amazing fruit beer.

Bottle. A strong boysenberry malt aroma (like a strawberry/sweet raspberry). Hazy amber with larger head. Since I never have tasted boysenberries before, I’ll make a giant leap and say this tastes like boysenberries which I would describe as a mixture of strawberries, raspberrries and black cherries. LIght malty flavor - maybe the slightest hint of hops at the finish. A nice enough fruit beer - my mother-in-law will love it.

Bottle. Pours cloudy cheddar with a nice head. Aroma is a blend of peach, strawberry, and blueberry. Dull, flat blueberry greets the tastebuds. Watery mouthfeel. No life to this beer. I’d rather drink cough syrup.

12oz bottle, courtesy of argo0. Thanks, Aaron! Pours a cloudy yellowish-brown color; textured, off-white head with good retention and lacing. Smells (both pleasantly and oddly) like a grape popsicle. Tastes (to further the confection analogies) like one of those cherry lollipops you get at the doctor’s office that doesn’t really taste like cherries; syrupy and somewhat sweet, but nicely balanced and showing a pleasant wheat character. Slightly one-dimensional, but not bad at all. Just weird. Medium, berry and creamy wheat finish.

Yellow, big foamy white head that sits an inch or so over the rim of the glass. without knowing exactly what boysenberry smell or tastes like, I’m gonna assume this is pretty boysenberry like. Runs into the problem a lot of fruit beer face - big "Wow" factor at first sip, and tedium by the end of the glass. On the whole, pretty tasty.
