Created by Ken Smith, Colorado. Ken describes his brew as having "a refreshing light taste and cereal crispness from the wheat malt." This unfiltered ale has a rich, fresh fruitiness balanced by a citrus note from the Noble hops.

Nice aroma, but a really boring taste. No complexity, it just tastes like carbonated berries. Highly carbonated, like sparkling juice.

A deep hazy golden color with a nice head. The aroma was with wheat and a slight fruity smell. Loved the flavor the berry flavor was light and good and the wheat malt was excellent. This was a great fruit beer. Good Job.

Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverages - 12 oz bottle - part of a sampler 6 pack. Medium orange, slightly murky - tight white head. Aroma of Knott’s Berry Farm Boysenberry syrup with a hint of grain. Pleasant boysenberry flavor reminds me of pancakes. Some kids cereal flavor sits in the background. Mouthfeel is a bit muddled. Fades a bit in the finish with some metallic notes.

Bottle. Poured a golden red body with nice 2 finger soapy white head. Nice aroma, the boysenberry was very enjoyable. Flavor is slightly sweet with a crisp body and medium mouthfeel. The fruit in it was not over powering and would make a great summer sipper.

Hazy Yellow Gold Color with White Head. Nice Boysenberry Fruit Aroma. Clean and Crisp Body. Medium Mouthfeel. Very Pronounced, Yet Balanced Boysenberry Notes...Wheat Comes on Strong at First to Balance the Sweet Fruit Notes...Then Retreats Softly for a Nice Even Aftertaste. Balance is What This Beer is About...A Wonderful Summer Beer. I Wish I Could Purchase This by the Case.

I’ve got a soft spot for this one since it’s someone’s prize creation in the homebrew arena. Pretty decent berry aroma and flavor. Reminded me a lot of Leinenkugel’s Berryweiss, but with good flavors instead of overly artificial fruit. As it warmed, it got pretty awful and overboard in the malts category. Chewy, almost. This was very good at first, and went downhill after a short time. Still, a much better beer than I could dream of making. Kudos.

Slightly hazy, amber/gold appearance with a medium size white head and modest lacing. Strong, one dimensional aroma of sweet berries. Tart taste is wheaty, fruity, syrupy and vaguely reminiscent of childrens medicine. Medium-to-light bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel. Lingering, dry, sour fruit finish with a slightly metallic aftertaste.

Deep golden beer with lots of suspended yeast. A bit of a pinkish tint. Aroma is very fruity with lots of sharp, bright acidity. Very berryish nose. The flavour is quite tart, with lots of wheaty tartness, strong fruitiness. The flavour has a bit of noble hop bitterness on the back as well. It’s a pretty nice fruit beer… a bit fruitier than I’d normally go for, but it’s well-balanced, tart, and pretty tasty.
