Commercial Description:
Created by Ken Smith, Colorado. Ken describes his brew as having "a refreshing light taste and cereal crispness from the wheat malt." This unfiltered ale has a rich, fresh fruitiness balanced by a citrus note from the Noble hops.

Bottle. Aroma of berries, grain, and a little bit of hops. Bittersweet flavor, and i don’t think the sweetness of the berries mixes well with the bitterness of the hops.

Aroma is that of fresh wheat, mixed berries, and kiddie breakfast cereal. Taste like they crammed jam in a bottle. Really sweet and cloying. I can almost taste the berry seeds in this interesting offering. Nice effort but not my thing.

Poured a cloudy golden color with small head. Aroma was of strong srong berries, wife could smell them across the room. Flavor was a light refreshing wheat and berry flavor. was a little to sweet for me but not bad.

Pours out slightly cloudy straw color with a white head. Aroma is of I guess boysenberries, because I’ve honestly never tasted them before. Body is average for a wheat, taste is sweet and slightly tart berry with a dry finish. Note bad

Decent look with a medium head. Wonderful smell of boysenberries is present but not overpowering, but the boysenberries flavor is a little artifical and overpowering in the taste.

Bottle, really this is a fruit beer, I think it needs more fruit, other than inital smell and a touch of tartness, the boysenberry was quite lacking. My guess is that the original had a lot more boysenberry. Now I could be wrong, but a bit more would be good. Sorry if my opinion of fruit beers is based upon the New Glarus Red or Kuhnhenn Eisbock.

The aroma was fruity with a blueberry aroma (I suppose that is boysenberry). The fruit dominated the aroma coupled with some wheat presence. The yellow beer was lightly hazy and had a HUGE off-white head which rose tall and too days to fall back. The flavor was fruity, but not quite blueberry, more of a lightly tart blueberry and perhaps raspberry blend. The wheat was evident as was a very slight spice. The tartness in the flavor just did not work for me at all. The body was medium and with a wheat made for a creamy mouthfeel. The finish was dry with lasting tart berry. Not a favorite. 12 ounce bottle.
